Ina Gartens Cranberry Sauce 


Can be made up to a week in advance.

Ingredients:
12 ounce bag fresh cranberries
1 1/3 cups sugar
1 Granny Smith apple (peeled, cored and chopped)
1 Orange (Zest and Juice)
1 Lemon (Zest and Juice)

Instructions:
1. Add cranberries, sugar and 1 cup of water to a medium saucepan and cook over medium heat for about       5 - 10 minutes, or until the skins pop open.
2. Add apple, zests and juices and cook 15 - 20 more minutes until thickened and apples are soft.
3. Remove from the heat and let cool completely. It will continue to thicken as it cools from the pectin in the apple.
4. Store in airtight container in refrigerator until ready to serve.
