Apple Crumb Pie
- 1 Frozen pie crust
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter
- 8 Apples
- 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Preheat oven to 450*
- Combine all topping ingredient until completely mixed and crumbly.
- Peel, core and slice apples. Toss apple slices with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour
- Layer apples in pie shell and put and leftover juice over apples.
- Put crumble topping on apples, press lightly.
- Bake at 450* for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 350* and bake an additional 45 minutes, check on topping to see if it is getting too dark, if so, put a piece of foil on top of pie.
